Easy Spaghetti and Meatballs Recipe for Solar Cooking

- 4 oz thin spaghetti
- ½ cup water
- 12 oz spaghetti sauce
- 12 pre-cooked frozen mini meatballs
- grated Parmesan Cheese
- Set up the solar oven to pre-heat while preparing the ingredients,
- Break the spaghetti in half so that it will fit In a solar safe pot.
- Add the water. Let sit to absorb some water, but gently stir to separate the strands.
- When the spaghetti has absorbed as much water as it will, add the meatballs and spaghetti sauce to the pot. Stir to completely cover the spaghetti.
- Cover the pot and place into the solar oven.
- Let heat for about an hour or until the spaghetti is tender.
- Serve with grated Parmesan Cheese and breadsticks.
For a spicier sauce, add additional spices, such as garlic powder, chili powder, basil, and cumin to spice up the jarred spaghetti sauce.
You can substitute browned and crumbled hamburger meat for the meatballs.
The time it takes to cook in a solar oven will vary depending on how hot the cooker gets.
